Facts tells but stories sells. How improve your presentations effectiveness?

When I was a beginner in network marketing world I didn’t even realised that there is any difference between facts and stories as such. I thought that facts are facts and stories are stories, simple as that. I had no idea what roles they have on my business presentations.

There is a saying in mlm world:

“Facts tells but stories sells”. This is very true statement. Why is that? It’s because while doing presentation we are bumping a lot of information (facts) into our audience heads. Some of the information is not even easy to understand for the ones who are new to network marketing or to business in general. Don’t get me wrong. Facts are really important as they give prospects possibility to learn about products or services features and benefits plus they have some basic understanding on how the money works in business model.
But the facts itself is not enough to make effective sales presentation. This is because people don’t buy things with logic, they do buy things with emotions. And that’s where the stories (testimonials) taking audience to the next level. When prospects hear success stories, when they listen to amazing experiences that users of particular product or service had, when they listen to story of someone who really struggled in their life but finally reached out for success, they have got inspired, they rely on them and most importantly they identify with speakers sharing their stories. And that is the moment where emotions helping guest believe that this product or service will help them or they will believe that using the business model they will finally get a chance to live the life they dreamed of.

More information about why the facts tells but stories sells you will find in the video below.
