Imagine the situation where you are calling your friend with the intention of inviting him or her to see your business opportunity presentation and they say: “As long as it’s not another MLM I am open” or “Is it another MLM?”. Many distributors, especially the new ones, do not know how to handle this kind of situation.
The tip I have for you today is something I have learned from Ray Higdon. Ray teaches that each conversation is simply exchanging the energy and your job is to manage this energy. So whenever you are in the situation when someone is trying to show you that they have more power than you and they now it all better you simply have to take over the control of the energy.

You might say, well it’s easy to say but how shall I do that?

So here is the thing. Most of distributors is going into defensive mode and saying something like: “what is wrong with an mlm?” or “if you are not in mlm you are going to work till you die” etc. This is classic mistake and by doing so you are giving your opponent the power, he wins.
What you should do is to show them that their opinion is not bothering you at all. You can say them something like: “Look if being your own boss and working your own hours is not for you than this is cool with me, however my product (or services) might be really beneficial for you. Would you like to know more about what I offer?”. If they say yes just show them just product or service presentation – no business talk at all. If they still say no then say: “Totally cool. If you know someone who is looking for new career opportunity or the way to make some extra income than give me their contact details.” When you do that this way you are in control of the whole conversation. You show them that you have the power beyond them.

As you can see your posture is crucial when you deal with negative people. On top of that remember that you have the gift you want to share with them. You have the gold so if they don’t want it then this is their problem, not yours. Don’t get discouraged by ignorant. Move on and get to another person. At the end you don’t need negative people in your team.
