How negative people will affect your team in MLM?

Actually I had some fun shooting the video for today’s post and wanted to help you to visualise negative people- make sure you watch it!
Your team is like a bowl of fruits. You have apples, peaches, oranges, bananas, peers and many more delicious, beautiful and healthy fruits. Sometimes unfortunately you can find a rotten fruit. And this is perfect analogy to situation with your team members and the negative person. What do you think will happen if you will not remove this smelly, disgusting one from the bowl? Yes, you are right. The fruits around them will start to rotten as well! After a while you will need to throw out all fruits. What you should do is to remove toxic fruit from other healthy ones as quick as possible!. Same thing should be done with a negative person. But how to spot nasty ones? Well you need to watch your people, listen to them, see how they act, what’s their attitude. If someone is constantly complaining that the product or service is bad, that website is not working properly, that you should change presentation, that speaker is not good enough, that you as a sponsor do not have time or do not support them enough. Well, I think you know now how to find these nasty people in your team (hope you don’t have them around you!). Separate them from your team now or wait until they will destroy your whole hard work.
Sometimes, especially with the beginners in MLM profession you are so addicted to the outcome that you try to get someone on board no matter what. So they are doing the presentation for someone. That person is an arrogant asshole who is super negative about your company in general. And they still try to close him down and bring on board! Can you imagine how much harm for your business these one, nasty, negative person can do? If you are one of those needy people please stop. There is millions of people who are waiting for your opportunity to be presented. People who are positive, coachable with the strong desire to success. Go chase them instead of rotten minds!
I will also give you a tip for big meetings. Let’s say you do the presentation at home party or in the hotel with many people. When you allow negative person from the audience to throw out loud their stupid comments just like a snake spitting venom, they will kill positive energy in the room. What is even worst it will affect people who were really interested in buying the product or join the team but now, someone’s negativity plant the seed of doubt in their minds and they decide not to take any action. What you should do is to get that negative person out of the room asap. You don’t have to be rude or aggressive but be firm and ask them to leave the room. Try to throw some joke after that situation so the audience will feel relaxed again. Have a strong posture and don’t be afraid of standing up for your company, yourself and your team. Even if no one will join your team members will see the power of leadership.

How to set the goals and accomplish them?

So many people are frustrated or angry because they couldn’t (again) accomplish their new years resolutions or plans.  I don’t know if you know but most of people do not write their goals down. People have, what I call, mental goals in their mind. They think that if they will have this idea in back of their head than this is enough to prepare themselves to get out there and make things happen. Believe me or not but this is main reason why people can’t reach their dreams. All successful people write their plans and goals down. All of them, no exceptions. There is a magic behind the process of creating this idea in your mind and then sending signals to your hand to write this idea on the paper. This is the first step of materialisation of your thoughts. I don’t want to go too much into details but if you would like to learn more about it please watch the movie “The Secret”- brilliant film.
Now, when you wrote your goals down it’s still not enough. Don’t expect that just because you forced yourself to do it your goals will magically become a reality. Goal on the paper is just a dream, but dream with a deadline is a proper goal. So when you have your wish list ready then set the timeframe when you want to achieve it. This is really important.
And it’s time for my favourite part. You have your goals with the deadlines written down. Now you have to prepare ACTION PLAN. This is the missing part for too many people. Don’t you think that in order to achieve great things you need to be prepared? Of course. If the goal is really big you need to break it down to smaller goals (milestones) and make written plan of getting from where you are to where you want to be. This is hard process but don’t try to overthink it. You can’t predict the future, you don’t know what might happen on the way but you can adjust the plan in action. When you start focusing on what is required to get to finish line your mind will give you many different options and you will start believing that this is actually possible to achieve.
Time for EXECUTION. This is when you need to go out and make things happen. You have your game plan ready, you know what you want, you know how to get it, you know you can make it! Believe in yourself. Be bold, be positive, stay focused. Review your accomplishments on the way and if something doesn’t work try to tweak it a little bit. You will know what to do. Don’t worry and have a faith!

EXTRA TIP: Set the goals so ridiculously big that it’s even hard for you to believe that you can achieve it. Even if you will not make it, it will get you way farther than small goals.

MLM Tips: 5 tips to improve your life and your MLM business

There is many different steps to improve your life but I think the one listed below will help you a lot as it works for me really well. So let’s go through it.

First tip is: Be less disappointed and appreciate more.

I see that so often when people are constantly disappointed. Someone quit their team, no one showed up for the presentation, didn’t make any money this month, can’t sign up anyone, everybody says no to me etc. Please, please, please stop focusing on this negativity and start appreciating more. Always remember that whatever you focus on expands. So be more appreciated for what you have in life: your health, your family and friends, your power to change your life and so much more. When you start focusing on what good you have in your life it will definitely make you more happy and satisfied.

Tip number two: Spend more quality time with your close ones.

If you even wandered how to improve your life quality than think about the work-life balance you have. Don’t forget that life isn’t only about work. There are close people around you that need your attention and presence. Nothing will happen if you will slow down for a while and spend quality time with most important people in your life. No phone, no social media, no laptop, no work. Pure fun, talk, holidays planning etc.

Tip number three: Compliment people every day.

This is something that many people underestimate but it actually can dramatically improve your happiness level and build great rapport with strangers and finally help you improve your MLM business. Just go out and on every occasion try to say something nice to 5-10 people every day. You can start from your partner or family members. Be kind and kindness will come back to you.

Tip number four: Be willing to put hard work towards your goals.

Couple of years ago I have asked myself this question: how can I improve my life? When I started really deeply think about it I realised that first of all I need to believe in myself, take full responsibility for my life and finally start to work really hard to achieve my goals. The truth is no one else will do that for me. The sooner you realise that the better. So make a decision that you will work hard towards your goals, otherwise no one else will. This is your life so what are you waiting for?

Tip number five: Implement daily affirmations to your daily routine.

One of my good friends, a life coach when asked how to better your life is always saying the same thing: use affirmations. At the beginning this might be strange for you but when you get used to it and it became your habit you will be shocked how big impact this can have on your life. Every day in the morning when you wake up and just before you go sleep take a minute or two and talk positive things to yourself or/and about yourself. That will help you stay motivated, inspired and improve your self-esteem. Really, really cool stuff!

How to create perfect duplication in your MLM business?

Network marketing is a business where the magic happens when the duplication kicks in. When I think about perfect example to show you effective duplication my first thought is restaurant chain McDonalds. Why this one? Because when you decide to take franchise of McDonalds then you will receive very thick book where you will have written down step by step each and every one process. The person who starts work at McDonalds will probably watch exactly the same training video than any other person around the world. The process of making a sandwich is brought down to super simple steps, ketchup, mustard, fries are in specific portions so you cannot even make human mistake. This is why when you walk in to any McDonalds restaurant in the world the food tastes exactly the same. Because they have a system in place even sixteen years old teenager is able to run restaurant. This element make them the biggest fast food chain in the world. In this company you truly understand what the duplication is.

So how to implement such a perfect process into MLM business?

It is possible but you need to take care of couple of things. Maybe let’s start from why people do nothing since they joined an MLM company? Two reasons: first is they are confused or second they don’t think they are able to do it.
How people can be confused? Well it can happen when the ego of local leader who achieved some kind of success goes out and he/she decided to create their own system and become the face of the company. This creates confusion because new joiners receiving two different trainings, first one from official company training channel and second one from local guru leader. In that moment they stop and don’t know who should they listen to, which way is better. At the end they doing nothing. Confusion can also come from informational mess. New member do not know where to search for the information, don’t know which information are important and that brings him/her to feeling lost and frustrated.
Too much information is very dangerous too. In fact MLM is very simple business concept. All that matters is to repeat couple of simple steps over and over again- just like at the gym when exercising.  People just like to overcomplicate things. When new person joins in many cases they receive so much information that they start to think: “hold on, I don’t think I will ever be able to review all of this stuff not to mention learn and apply it. Sorry Mr sponsor I am not able to do it.”. That’s how it ends.
Remember: every new person must focus just on one simple thing: INVITING. Rest is on you as a sponsor. You must show them how to do the presentation, how to close and how to train new person. After a while they will be able to copy your actions on their own.
So the best way to get new person started is to give them away simple information with step by step plan of action. This can be some sort of playbook, a sheet of paper, your team website or recorded audio/video with fast start training. It must be simple, easy to pass information, so the new person if they sponsor someone else than they can hand this over to them easily. Same information shared with many- just like in McDonalds!

Tips for beginners in MLM / network marketing

If you are at the beginning of your professional career in MLM business than first thing we need to analyse is your mindset. If you have a thinking like: “well I will try this thing for couple of weeks and see how it goes. If it will not work for me than I will just quit.”, if that’s you than you can quit now. Just forget about MLM as this is not a lottery ticket. You need to understand that network marketing is a long term business. It’s a profession, and like any other profession you need to learn the skills necessary to make money out of it. So what that mean is that there is a time and effort required to develop the skills and build profitable business. The best thing about network marketing profession is the fact that there is no other craft that will give you a possibility to make such amount of money while having enough time to enjoy it, but most importantly no other business will allow you to inspire others and to release their full potential. This is most rewarding, priceless feeling. Admiration and respect of thousands of thousands of people is really tempting, isn’t it?
Second really important element on your way to success in multi level marketing is attending your company training events. This is, in my opinion, one of the key factors in the whole strategy of building solid, long term organisation and culture. Training events builds belief in the company and the product/services, inspire, motivate, just giving you and your team a buzz to go out there and make it happen. As a side tip all top income earners in your company do not miss any event, do you think you should follow what they do? Just saying.
Some of the critics of MLM will throw arguments that people get brainwashed on these events and just get motivational buzz that doesn’t last long. They say that it’s created only to get your money out of your pocket and when you come back there is nothing you can do with the “knowledge” you have received. There is a little bit of truth in what they say. First of all if for the whole your life your society and medias throw garbage into your head you need washing from time to time to have clean view on what’s going on out there. Just like you wash your clothes when they are dirty. Secondly if your only goal at these events is to hang out with people and have some fun than this is really expensive hobby. And this is my third tip for you. If you are investing money in the company training than when you come back you must apply these strategies in action. And when you feel uncomfortable than it’s a good sign. It means that you are going out of your comfort zone and actually learning something new. You learn the skills that will bring you more benefits than the one you used to do. So keep practising what you have learned at training event- this is crucial. Otherwise you will not see any results in your personal growth neither in MLM business. You want to make money, don’t you?
Fourth, also really important tip is self-education. If you feel that you suck in some areas like sales, speaking, talking to strangers etc. than you need to find some books, trainings, courses, seminars etc. and learn how this thing should be done properly. This is really important in your professional career in any field. As Jim Rohn said: “Standard education will make you a living. Self-education will make you a fortune.”. So work on your skills, get better every day and one day you will realise that this was the best investment ever.

MLM leaders: 3 steps of leadership

So the question is how you develop leadership skills required to inspire others to achieve common vision and become leaders too? When I was watching many leaders from all around the world I have realised that they all have one thing in common. That thing is the attitude of delivering more than they were expected to deliver. And this is one of the most important leadership qualities. So you want to be a leader? Deliver more, do more, be more, expect more, produce more, show up more. You need to be an example of what should be done and how it’s done.
I was wondering how regular people become great leaders, is there any pattern or steps to follow? And I think yes there is couple of steps that you need to go through in order to develop leadership skills. These steps are framed in these three letters: I.L.T.
“I” stands for INVEST
If you suck in any skill that you want to develop, let’s say sales or public speaking. First thing you need to do is to invest. Invest your time and possibly your money to find the schools, courses, coaches who will teach you what to do and how to do it. In extreme situations if you have no money to pay for courses or seminars you can find a job that will require from you skills that you want to develop. And guess what Most sales jobs are easy to get, because no one wants to do them. Funny enough sales reps are in many cases the best paid employees in the company. If you wish to develop your speaking abilities you can sign up with let’s say Toastmasters. They are great in teaching people how to become great public speaker. So main message at this stage is: stay in student mode all the time.
“L” stands for LEARN
Most of the things in life can be learned. You just need a desire to study and perseverance to practice, practice, practice. This is how you sharpen your skills. So first you have learned the theory, now is the time to get your hands dirty. Go out and put into action things you have learned.
“T” stands for TEACH
Now is the time for you to start teaching your team how to make things happen. And you have right to do so, because you know what you are talking about! Not only you know the theory but you went out there and checked this in practise, produced results and no one can tell you that you are just talking about something you never did.
There is many different leadership styles. And it doesn’t matter which one is the best for you. What does matter is the fact that you are willing to go through all of the above steps and always deliver more than is expected from you. Never forget that you need to be a servant leader and good of others should be your priority.

Are your kids your excuse or your motivation?

I am building actively my network marketing business and also I am raising my 2 years old baby girl. And I need to admit- this is really hard thing to do. However there is a saying: “If you make hard things your life will be easy but if you make easy things your life will be hard.”. So basically I want to tell you that I will never make my child a perfect excuse of not doing something. I can see that so often even with my friends when they make excuses just because of their kids. They say: well I like the idea of the business but I have kids so have no time for it. Really? So when will you have a time for yourself and your kids? Or they say: I do not travel because I have small kids. Really? So when will you have time to create the priceless memories with your family? Shouldn’t that be now? I mean, right now?
99% of the time kids are pure excuse and the truth is your kids shouldn’t be your excuse. They should be you pure motivation to show them that life is full of possibilities and they should take as much as possible from each day. Who do you think your children will copy? A neighbour or a parent? What do you want your kids to be like when they grow up? Do you think sitting on your butt doing nothing is a good example for them? I don’t think so.
I think that your kids just force you to be more organised and plan each day. You can do everything you want if you plan it properly. At the moment I am writing this post when my daughter is taking a nap. I am planning my days so I can spend quality time with my little Susana – with no phone, no facebook, no calls, no laptop. Just me and my baby. And I am so grateful that I have time freedom thanks to MLM business to spend this time with her rather than sitting 40-50 hours every week in the office and renting someone to raise my kid. Isn’t that weird for you to give 80% of your income away just to pay for kinder garden or babysitter to look after your little one?
So my advice for you is: Never ever make your children an excuse. Always look at them and despite of how tired you are or how busy you are make them your greatest motivation to change your life and give them a better life as well. This is what you can achieve through multi-level marketing business. Time freedom and passive income coming in month in and month out. And the best part is that you are able to pass your running business down to your kids. You own it! That’s the legacy I am talking about.

As I said at the beginning of this post raising a child and building a business is not easy. But spending 40-60 hours a week at work and not seeing your baby plus spending most of your salary on babysitter is even harder. So have a faith in that nothing worth having is easy to reach. Just make it happen. Not only for yourself but for most of all for your children!

The best cure for all problems in MLM

So many people are complaining that there is nothing going on in their network marketing business, they don’t make any money, their team is not motivated, their team is doing nothing and so on and so forth. They are discouraged because they don’t know what should they do with that. You need to understand that MLM is really simple business, people overcomplicating it too often. This is numbers game. So the best cure for your problems in multi-level marketing is S.M.P. which stands for Show More People.
You see, the more people you show the business the more people will join your team or purchase your product/services. The more people join, the more money you make. The more money you make the more fired up you become. The more people in the team, the more quality leaders showing up. The more leaders bring more quality people. So as you can see when you show more people the business starts to grow. And this is what you want, don’t you?

MLM Tips: Best paid skill in MLM

So many people want to be great at closing. So many of people want to be great at presenting. So many people want to be great trainers. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with it. If you want to get to the top you will probably have to develop these skills and be pretty good at it. The problem is that way too less people want or focus on being great at inviting.
Think about it for a second. What’s the point of being the greatest closer in the world, the best presenter or the best trainer if there is no one in the room to be presented, closed and trained? Who do you think will make more money: the one who did perfect presentation but has no guests or the one who did average presentation but invited 10 people who showed up to see the information? Of course the one who had guests in the room. We get paid in network marketing for the sales of products or services. So the more people you show the information, the more will buy from you. It’s simple as that.
Let me give you some analogy here. Imagine that you are the manager of basketball player. You don’t have to know how to play, you don’t have to be athletic and tall, you don’t have to train every day. What you have to do is to be good at inviting trainers to see how your player performs. If you are good at it, you will make good money together with your player. By developing skill of inviting you will help not only yourself but also other person.

What can be harder than building an MLM business?

So many people are complaining that there is no results, no one wants to join their MLM team. They have this instant need for results. This is the time when network marketing haters jump on saying that 97% of people doesn’t make any money in MLM to it must be super hard and it must be a scam. The truth is that the numbers in income disclosure in all MLM companies are not relevant, because of many people who are joining as a distributors but they only are customers. The actual numbers for people who actually sale something and make money is much higher than you think so please don’t be discouraged next time you see your company’s income disclosure statement.
So this instant people want to see the results straight away, otherwise they say this thing doesn’t work. They don’t understand that it takes time to learn the skills necessary to run this business. When MLM haters talk with someone who says they want to be a doctor, they don’t ask how much money did you make so far? None? Pfff doctor must be a scam! No they don’t do that because they know that it takes around 6 years of studying to even start working as a doctor. Same rule applies in network marketing. It takes time to start even making any money! But it’s not 6 years, it’s not even 3 years. In many cases you need around 1 year to learn the skills and understand the basics, so you can start making some additional money.
From my personal experience as a small business owner and employee working in the largest corporates in the world that MLM is actually the easiest way of making money.

I have prepared list of 10 things that in my opinion are harder than building your multi-level marketing business.

10. You need to work with people you don’t like for many long years. As an employee you have absolutely no control on decision who your teammates will be. Imagine spending more time each day with people you dislike then you spend with your family. That’s hard! In MLM you decide who do you work with. You are creating your environment and can surround yourself with people who lift you up.
9. No security. Think about it. When you lose your job what’s happening with your income? It runs away, isn’t it? It’s because you rely just on one stream of income. On top of that this is the income you can’t control, because decision maker is your boss. In MLM you get paid residually month after month for the work you have done once. You don’t have to show up every day in the office.
8. Asking for permission. Come on! Are you an adult or are you in the kinder garden? How do you like the feeling to ask for permission to go to your sister’s wedding, or to take day off to see your kids play or to go on holidays at the time suitable for you, not your teams holiday schedule? How long do you want to let others decide when you can spend quality time with your family? Do you still think that you are free?
7. Being constantly expendable. Think about today’s economy. The situation is so hard that there is a line of tens or hundreds of people who are waiting to take your place in the company. Having the stress and knowing that others are hunting for your position can really stress you out. There is no loyalty from the employer even if you worked for them for years. This is hard to take.
6. Working for 40 years to retire broke. I can’t understand how people can be so naïve believing that what’s happened to their grandparents or parents with their retirement will magically not happen to them? If you see your grandparents, uncles, friend’s parents or whoever else living with ridiculously low retirement payment how do you think will your retirement payment looks like? Especially now when less and less people are born. So you work for years, pay your taxes and pension scheme and you end up being broke. That’s really hard to realise you worked for 40 years for something you will never own!
5. Company travel can be really hard. When you are forced to travel for your company, you are always away from your spouse and kids. People are doing this to support their families but sometimes they cross the line where the whole relationship with their significant other and kids is destroyed and there is no turn back.
4. Starting every month from zero. This is really easy to see for people who are working in sales. Your targets are put down to zero each month. It means you need to fight every month over and over again to reach your targets. In MLM you get paid residual income for the job you did once. In other words whatever you achieved this month will be combined with next month and so on.
3. Leaving no legacy. Do you think it’s fair to have percentage of the company you worked for, been loyal and gave you time for your whole life? Of course you do! BUT most of businesses doesn’t work this way. You give all your best to build someone else’s dream and because they are an owner they can pass it down to their kid. You end up with nothing- that’s hard!
2. Trading your time for money. When you are an employee you get paid certain amount of money for the time you spend at work. Your time is precious. You can spend it with your family and friends. Think about all the things you are missing because you need to stay at work. It’s pure slavery. And the worst part is that when you climb the ladder you are expected to spend even more time at work. That can be really hard.
1. This one is the hardest in my opinion. When you know you have more potential. How frustrating it is when you work for someone else and you know you can do so much more things. Don’t you feel tide up knowing you waste your precious time and not doing what you really should be doing on your own? That is hard!
