What to do when your prospect showed up for the presentation?

Well done to you! First step is done. Now to make the meeting successful you need to make absolutely stunning impression on your guest. Today we will give you some good presentation tips.
Before I will go through my points I would like to start from a little question. Imagine the situation where you friend invited you for a party where the only person you know is actually your friend. You have agreed to go as you thought this might be a great opportunity to meet new friends and have some fun. Now you turned up for the party and your friend left you alone right when you walked in and started hanging out with his/her friends. Your first thought would be: “how could he be so rude and leaving me here alone!”. So you don’t feel comfortable and the only thing you think about is how to get out of this place.
Same thing applies to your guest on the presentation. When I see some amateurs bringing their guest for the presentation and then just “forgetting” about them. This is unfortunately common mistake. Your prospect will not feel good in this kind of environment. Don’t ever leave them alone.

Now, here is the tips I have for you today.

First of all give a warm welcome to your guest and IMMEDIATELY introduce them to the leaders in the room. It would be great to introduce them to main speaker for this event if you know him or her. Also introduce your prospect to some of your team mates who have something in common with them. Maybe have the same job, maybe same hobbies or are from the same city, country, state. By doing so they can communicate on the same level. It will just make your guest feel comfortable.
Second tip is to sit with your guest in one of the front rows. The closer to speaker the better, because speaker will probably ask your guest some question or mention them (when you introduce each other before presentation). This will get your guest to be more engaged with the whole process.
Third tip. I do realize that probably you have seen the same presentation thousand times but it’s not about you- it’s about your guest! When you seat next to your prospect don’t text on your phone, don’t check your facebook account or watch old pictures. Show them that you are excited about what you see and hear! It’s good to poke your guest from time to time and point out some good information speaker just said. It will show that you are really passionate about what you are doing.

More tips on what to do and how to behave when your guest showed up for the presentation you will find in the video below.
