You have joined an MLM business recently and are excited by the new opportunity. You know you have a great product or service, something that people would love to have, and just what they need. But as you talk to people or market the product on the internet, you realize that many don’t respond to you that way you want them to. You get objections and more objections.

Should you be discouraged and give up? You definitely shouldn’t, no matter how much you are tempted to. Here’s what you should understand about objections – they are in most cases a request for further information. Many people may object, but perhaps that’s just their initial reaction.
And for those who are completely unwilling to help themselves, and there will be quite a few, it’s better not to pursue them any further. As you spend more time on MLM marketing, it will become easier to identify those who are really looking for more information from those to whom objections are nothing but excuses not get involved.

One of the most common objections is centered on the point that MLM businesses and Network Marketing are nothing but one of those Pyramid schemes. “Is this one of those Pyramid schemes?” – your prospects will often ask.
So, how to overcome Pyramid objection when showing your MLM business? It is important that you should, if you’re to get them to overcome their objections and join your business.
Here’s what you should know about Pyramids. MLM businesses and affiliate programs are not Pyramid schemes, but are non-traditional businesses. Pyramids are illegal. An MLM business is very much legal. It’s just a different way of selling a product.

So you can try a variation of this statement to remove a prospect’s Pyramid objection: “I appreciate your concern, but please understand Pyramid schemes are illegal and we have excellent relationships with attorney generals in all 50 states. The federal government would never allow a Pyramid scheme to operate. We are a non-traditional business, and not a Pyramid.  Ours is a legal program, which will reward you for your efforts as well as the efforts of others who are involved so that you are able to earn a good income.”
Essentially, you should overcome the “Pyramid Scheme” objection in 3 ways:

#  Emphasize the fact that your MLM business is legal and Pyramid Schemes are not.
When your prospect says, “Pyramid schemes get shut down by the government and really are illegal,” and accuses your MLM business of being a Pyramid scheme, you will know that he or she is worried about the legal aspect of it.
This is what you should say: “This is by no means a Pyramid scheme. I fully understand that Pyramid schemes are illegal and I would never get you to do anything that’s not legal. Would you like to know more about what I have to share with you about this amazing opportunity?”

# Address the prospect’s doubts about the compensation.
The prospect will tell you, how, in MLM businesses, people at the top make all the money. His issue is with the compensation. Here’s how to address it.
Tell the prospect: “The greatest thing about our MLM business is that you can start at the lowest level and make more money than even those at the very top. In fact, at my old job, there was no way I could make more money than my manager, but here I make much more than those who are at a higher level than I am, which is why I am so excited about this opportunity. Would you like to know more about it?”

# Address the bad experiences the prospect may have had with MLM businesses.
The prospect may have a bad experience of Network Marketing, or may know some who’s had a bad experience – which is why they are so wary about joining it. Or he or she may never have been involved in Network Marketing, but are skeptical about the whole thing, because of not having enough information about how the business works.
In that case you should listen to their past experiences or their opinions on Network Marketing. You should empathize with the prospect’s concerns, but at the same time express your pride about being involved in an MLM business.
Talk to the prospect about Amway. Emphasize on the point that Amway has been involved in Network Marketing for over 50 years and is one of the most successful and respected businesses in the world. Talk to them about other successful MLM businesses and then ask them if they would like to know more about the amazing opportunity you have for them.

So, that’s how to address the Pyramid objection when showing your MLM business. Remember, an objection is just a request for more information!
